About me

I love the river, the canyons, and sleeping under the stars. When I'm not working as a guide in the outdoors, I'm a storyteller, documentary filmmaker, and photographer. I love talking about humanity's connection to nature and the impact that being outside has on all of us and our well-being.

The Best Part of My Job

I love having a genuine impact on the world around me. Getting to know guests and having a lasting impact on their lives, or spreading knowledge and love for rivers and wild places—it all feels so meaningful when you get to be the connection that people have to a place, and wanting to protect it.

How I found OARS

I think I was drawn to OARS because of their documentaries and the allure of expedition-style river trips. I knew I wanted to disappear into canyons for days at a time.

My Favorite Spot on the River/Outdoors

My favorite rapids are the ones lit up by morning light, either reflecting the light onto the canyon walls or shining in the sunlight peaking over the cliff walls.

I Can’t Live Without

Two pairs of Chacos—one to be wet during the day, one to be dry at camp!
